Hi, I'm Juan J. Valdes, a video and photo producer based in Austin, Texas, creating work for sports, fitness and lifestyle brands. My love for fitness started at 15, training in the gym with my dad. Those early workouts turned into a lifelong habit. Then I got into plyometrics, and that's when explosive movement really hooked me: the jump, the sprint, the split second when an athlete is fully committed. I became obsessed with capturing those moments that happen in the blink of an eye.
These days, you'll find me on the padel court when I'm not behind the camera. Whether it's a sprinter off the blocks, a lifter hitting a PR or a player diving for a ball, I'm chasing the same thing: movement at its peak.I handle every project from start to finish: creative direction, shooting and editing. What drives me is the process of chasing that one frame you only get a split second to catch, and getting a little better at it every day.
